Step 1 : Click on 'Search Patient' link in left menu to reach patient search as shown in the screenshot below :
Step 2 : Search for patient name whose record you would like to update by typing initials of the patient as shown in the screenshot below and then click on the blue link ie 'Name of the Patient' . This will take you to the EMR of the this patient .
What all can you do in the patient health record ?
Once you reach EMR of patient , you can do achieve multiple tasks related to the patient . We will go through each of them one by one by referring to the 'Number' in red circle as shown in the screenshot below :

How to add patient image ?
Refer to point 1 in the 'Main Article Screenshot' . You will find a 'Change Pic' button , click this button to upload latest patient image as shown in the screenshot below :
How to add patient basic information ?
Refer to point 2 in the 'Main Article Screenshot' . You can click on the blue 'Edit' button to add basic details of the patient like age,address,contact number , email, groups,referral etc information .
How to assign 'Patient Groups' to a patient ?
Refer to point 2 in the 'Main Article Screenshot' . Click on the blue 'Edit' button , this will open patient basic information form, here you can tag the patient to one or more group as shown in the screenshot below :
How to add vital stats of patient ?
Refer to point 3 in the 'Main Article Screenshot' . Here you will find 'Edit' button to update vital stats of the patient as shown in the screenshot below . Click to this link to update vital stats of the patient.
How to see active medication of patient ?
Refer to point 4 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. Active medication will be empty initially and will automatically get populated with the drugs as/when a any prescription is written for the patient . This can be used for future reference as shown in the screenshot below :
Important information of patients
Refer to point 6 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. This top stats bar shows important information about the patient like Next Appointment , Birthday SMS Reminder , Pending Payment if any as shown in the screenshot below :
How to check recent interaction of a patient with the clinic ?
Refer to point 7 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. It shows recent interaction of the patient with your clinic . It shows last 3 appointments, last 3 treatments, last 3 bills, last 3 clinical notes and last 3 prescriptions of the clinic as shown in the screenshot below :
Adding patient remarks
Refer to point 8 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. Patient Remark is a note which can be added against patient for future reference by doctors . To add patient remarks you can click on the blue 'Edit' link as shown in the screenshot below . Please note that you can write only one 'Patient Remark' for a patient however you add multiple patient notes as described in next section .
Adding patient notes
Refer to point 9 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. Patient Notes are quick small notes which can be added against the patients for future reference. To add Patient Notes just write the note in textbox as shown in the screenshot below and press "enter" . This will save the notes along with date in reverse chronological order for future reference by the doctor .
Adding medical history note
Refer to point 10 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. Medical history note can be added by clicking blue 'Edit' link as shown in the screenshot below . You can write only one medical history note for a patient however you can add multiple medical history tags as described in next section .
Adding medical history tags
Refer to point 11 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. Medical history tags can be added by typing medical history tag in the textbox and clicking green color 'Add' button as shown in the screenshot below . You can tag patient with multiple medical history tags .
Deleting patient record
Refer to point 12 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. You can delete patient by clicking on 'Delete Patient' button as shown below :
Printing patient record
Refer to point 12 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. You can print patient records by clicking on 'Print' button as shown below :
Using integrated action button
Refer to point 12 in the 'Main Article Screenshot'. You can add any type of records by clicking the green color 'Add' button as shown in the screenshot below :
Click on the appropriate option in the dropdown to add records against the patient .
What are the different tabs in patient EMR ? How to add/view appointments, treatments, bills, payments, clinical notes, prescriptions, files of patient ?

1. Patient Name Tab
This is the first landing screen of the patient EMR and contains information about Medical Charting / Vitals / Basic Info / Active Medication / Medical History etc. We have already gone through this in previous section .
2. How to view/add appointments of a patient ?
Refer to the screenshot below with no. codes in red circle :
- Appointment Tab : Click on the 'Appointment' tab (No. 1 in screenshot above) to view all the appointments of this patient .
- Appointment Record Sorting : Records are shown in reverse chronological order by default . To change order of appointment records of the patient by selecting appropriate radio button (No. 2 in screenshot above ) .
- Appointment Records : Appointment rows shows details of appointment (No. 3 in screenshot above ) . 'Action' button on the right of each row can be used to Mark Check-In/Edit Appointment .
- Add Appointment : To add schedule new appointment for this patient click 'Add Appointment' button (No. 4 in screenshot above ) . Click here to read tutorial on how to add appointment for existing patient .
- Missed Appointments : View missed appointment of this patient in the right panel (No. 5 in screenshot above)
3. How to view/add treatments of a patient ?

- Treatment Tab : Click on the 'Treatment' tab (No. 1 in screenshot above) to view all the past treatments of this patient .
- Treatment Records : Treatment rows shows details of treatments of the patient (No. 2 in screenshot above ) . 'Action' button on the right of each row can be used to view/edit/print/email/delete any treatment .
- Add Treatment Plan : To add new treatment plan for this patient click 'Add Treatment Plan' button (No. 3 in screenshot above ) . Click here to read tutorial on how to add treatment plan
- Pending Treatment : View pending treatments of this patient in the right panel (No. 4 in screenshot above).
4. How to view/add bills of a patient ?

- Billing Tab : Click on the 'Billing' tab (No. 1 in screenshot above) to view all the past bills of this patient .
- Billing Records : Billing records shows details of past bills of the patient (No 2 in the screenshot above) . Action' button on the right of each row can be used to view/edit/print/email/delete any bill and also make pending payment entry against unpaid or partially paid bill (Click here to read tutorial on how to add payment details against unpaid or partially paid bills) .
- Add New Bill : To add new bill for the patient click 'Add Bill' button (No. 3 in screenshot above) . Click here to read tutorial on how to add new bill against a patient
- Un-billed Completed Treatments : View un-billed completed treatments in the right panel (No. 4 in the screenshot above) .
5. How to view/add payments of a patient ?
Refer to the screenshot below with no. codes in red circle :
- Payment Tab : Click on the 'Payment' tab (No. 1 in screenshot above) to view all the past payments of this patient .
- Payment Records : Payment records shows payment details of past patients of the patient (No 2 in the screenshot above) . 'Action' button on the right of each row can be used to view/print/email/delete corresponding receipt and you can also view the bill against which the payment was made .
- Unpaid Bills : View unpaid bills on the right panel to quickly find unpaid/partially paid bills against which payment can be updated by clicking 'Make Pending Payment' button .
6. How to view/add clinical notes of a patient ?
Refer to the screenshot below with no. codes in red circle :
- Clinical Notes Tab : Click on the 'Clinical Notes' tab (No. 1 in screenshot above) to view all the past clinical notes of this patient .
- Clinical Notes : Clinical notes rows shows all the clinical notes written for the patient in past (No 2 in the screenshot above). 'Action' button on the right of each row can be used to view/edit/print/email/delete corresponding clinical note .

7. How to view/add prescriptions of a patient ?
