How can clinic staff send an sms to its patient ? 

Refer to screenshot below and follow these steps to send sms to your patients : 

Step 1 : Go to clinic EMR by clicking on 'Clinic EMR' link from the left menu as shown in point-1 in the screenshot below .

Step 2 : Go to SMS tab in clinic emr by clicking on the 'SMS' tab as shown in point-2 in the screenshot below .

Step 3 : Next click on green color '+Send SMS' button as shown in point-3 in the screenshot below . This will open 'Send SMS' pop-up window .

Step 4 : In the 'Send SMS' pop-up window , select patient name as shown in the point-4 in screenshot below (mobile number will automatically get populated and incase mobile no. is empty then fill mobile no of the patient) . Next select one of the existing sms template or select 'custom' template as shown in point-5 in the screenshot below (we have selected existing 'health checkup' template) . Now compose message (point-6 in screenshot below) and click on 'Send SMS' blue button . This will immediately send sms to your patient .

How to send SMS alert to patients/doctors while scheduling new appointment or rescheduling an existing appointment ?

What all automated appointment related SMS reminders can be sent to patients & doctors ?  How to configure ? 

Refer to screenshot below and follow these steps to send sms to your patients : 

Step 1 : Go to practice settings (settings of the clinic and doctor ) by clicking on 'Practice Settings' link from the left menu as shown in point-1 in the screenshot below .

Step 2 : Next click on 'Practice Communication' to reach communication settings of the clinic as shown in point-2 in the screenshot below .

Step 3 : Once you reach 'Practice Communication' , find 'Appointment Notifications' settings and configure following as shown in the screenshot below (refer to point no. and match with the numbers in the screenshot below) : 

  1. Patient Appoint Confirmation : SMS notification is sent to patient on adding a new appointment .
  2. Patient Appointment Re-Schedule : SMS notification is sent to patient on re-scheduling an appointment . 
  3. Patient Appointment Reminder : Automated SMS reminder is sent to the patient on the day of appointment in the morning . 
  4. Doctor Appointment Confirmation : SMS alert is sent to doctor on adding a new appointment .
  5. Doctor Appointment Re-Schedule : SMS alert is sent to doctor on re-scheduling an appointment .
  6. Doctor Daily Schedule : Automated SMS notification to doctor in the morning informing him about all the appointment in the day .
  7. Accept Online Appointments : SMS are sent to the patient and doctor when online appointments are confirmed or cancelled

Note : You need to tick the checkbox as shown in point 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in order to configure these sms alerts for your clinic .

What are other automated SMS which can be sent to patients from the clinic ?  How to configure ? 

Refer to screenshot below and follow these steps to send sms to your patients : 

Step 1 : Go to practice settings (settings of the clinic and doctor ) by clicking on 'Practice Settings' link from the left menu as shown in point-1 in the screenshot below .

Step 2 : Next click on 'Practice Communication' to reach communication settings of the clinic as shown in point-2 in the screenshot below .

Step 3 : Once you reach 'Practice Communication' , find 'Clinic Notifications' settings and configure following as shown in the screenshot below (refer to point no. and match with the numbers in the screenshot below) :  

  1. Patient Birthday SMS  : Automated birthday wish SMS for patients .
  2. Patient Welcome SMS : Automated welcome SMS from clinic on patient registration .
  3. Patient Follow up SMS : Automated patient follow-up reminder 

Note : You need to tick the checkbox as shown in point 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in order to configure these sms alerts for your clinic .

How to send bulk sms to patients of my clinic ? 

Refer to screenshot below and follow these steps to send sms to your patients : 

Step 1 : Go to sms center by clicking on 'SMS Center' link from the left menu as shown in the screenshot below .

Step 2 : You will reach SMS Center module . Here you will land on the 'Send Bulk SMS' tab by default as shown in point-1 on the screenshot below. 

Next select the tab 'Patient' / 'Groups' / 'My Staff' in order to populated the list of contact below it as shown in point-2 in the screenshot below : 

Step 3 : Next select/tick the checkboxes of contact (in order to select contacts) to whom you would like to send sms as shown in point-3 in the screenshot below .

Step 4 : Next select any existing 'SMS Templates' from the drop down or simply select 'custom' to write your custom sms . Now type your message in the 'Message' field .

Step 5 : Now click on 'Send SMS' button to send sms to all the contacts that you selected .

How to sms prescription to patients ?  

Refer to screenshot below and follow these steps to send sms to your patients : 

Step 1 : Go to clinic EMR by clicking on 'Clinic EMR' link from the left menu as shown in point-1 in the screenshot below .

 Step 2 : Click on 'Prescription' tab on top right as shown in point-2 in the screenshot below to reach prescription module in clinic EMR .

Step 3 : In the prescription module , click on 'Action' button against any existing (already written) prescription (as shown in point-3 in the screenshot below) and then click on 'SMS' (point-4 in the screenshot below) .  This will open 'Send SMS' pop-window with prescription durgs already populated in message .

Step 5 : Review message in the 'Send SMS' pop-window with prescription durgs already populated in message fields and click on 'Send SMS' button to sms prescription drugs to your patient .

Where can we view delivery reports of all the sms sent ?

Refer to screenshot below and follow these steps to send sms to your patients : 

Step 1 : Go to sms center by clicking on 'SMS Center' link from the left menu as shown in the screenshot below .

Step 2 : You will reach SMS Center module . Here you will land on the 'Send Bulk SMS' tab by default however next you should click on the 'SMS Delivery Report'  tab as shown in point-1 on the screenshot below. 

You will reach the sms delivery report module . Here you can see delivery report of all the sms sent today and can also change the date to viw delivery reports for some other date as shown in point-2 in the screenshot below .

There will be SMS status against each SMS as shown in point-4 in the screenshot below. Status can be : 

  • Report Awaited : Till we receive sms delivery report , the status is shown as 'Report Awaited' . Once status of delivery is received then the status changes to 'SUCCESS' / 'FAILURE' . Please note here that SMS are sent instantly however delivery reports can take upto 1 hour and may be more sometimes but that doesnot mean that SMS is delayed by an hour , it only means the delivery report is delayed .
  • SUCCESS  : Status changes to 'SUCCESS' , once delivery report confirms success. 
  • FAILURE : Status changes to 'Failure' , once delivery report confirms failure. 

Note: Incase of failure you can resend the sms by clicking 'Re-Send' button as shown in point-7 in screenshot below :
