This is the first article (of the three part tutorial) on Inventory Management System . Here we will learn about creating inventory item catalogue in Healcon Practice software under following headings :
How to add an inventory item in the catalogue ?

How to add an inventory item in the catalogue ?
Step-1 : Go to ''Inventory Catalogue' from left menu as shown below :
Step -2 : Click on 'Add Inventory Item' as shown below :
Step-3 : Pop up screen to add new 'Inventory Item' will open , please fill the form as shown below :
Step-4 : Once you fill the form and click 'Save', recently added item will appear in the 'Inventory Catalogue'
A new inventory item has been successfully added to your inventory catalogue . Now whenever you buy stock for this item, you can easily add stock to this inventory item ( described in next article of this tutorial : Adding Purchased Stock to Inventory ) and billing of this item will automatically consume this inventory ( described in last article of this tutorial on inventory management : Inventory Billing ) .
How to edit / delete an already added inventory item detail ?
You can easily edit/delete inventory items by clicking on 'Action' dropdown and selecting required action as shown below :
How to add recently purchased stock against an inventory item ?
Step-1 : To add first purchased stock against an recently added 'Inventory Item', please click on the 'Add Stock (Purchase)' as shown in the screenshot below :
Step-2 : Add stock Purchase form will open , please fill details of the purchase and save :
Step:3 : Once you save the form, details of the purchased stock will get added and shown against the 'Inventory Catalogue' as highlighted below :
Step-4 : You can checkout details of all the purchases in future in the ' Stock Purchase' interface described in the next article and understand how you can add future stock purchase against any inventory item : Adding Purchased Stock to Inventory
How to check status of inventory items in the catalogue?
Stock status of each item in your inventory catogoue is color coded with 'In Stock' (Green) / 'Low Stock' (Orange) / 'Out Of Stock' (Red) as highlited in screenshot below :
You can also choose to filter inventory catalogue item using the 'Stock Status' filter on the top .
How to bill inventory items to customers ?
